You fly to Varanasi this morning, where you are met at the airport and taken to your accommodation. Visit the Buddhist holy city of Sarnath, which is located northeast of Varanasi, in the afternoon. Sarnath is one of the buried cities. Buddha visited Sarnath and gave a sermon on the path to nirvana. The magnificent stupas and monasteries that the great Buddhist emperor Ashoka later built are still in ruins today. An excellent collection of Buddhist artwork and sculptures is housed in a local museum. Varanasi, spend the night.
One of the oldest continuously inhabited towns in the world is Varanasi, the holiest of cities for Hindus. Do holy darshana of Kashi Vishwanatha Jyotirlinga in Kashi Vishwanatha Corridor. Enjoy a boat ride on the Ganges early in the morning while keeping an eye out for people on the ghats, including women taking covert showers in their sarees, young men showcasing their strength in yoga poses, and Brahmin priests offering prayers for everyone. Breakfast at your hotel is to be had now. Later, continue for a tour of Varanasi’s city center, stopping at some of the many temples that line the river’s edge. Explore the bazaars and wind your way through the winding streets to see the renowned Banaras silks. It’s free time in the afternoon. Varanasi, spend the night.
The morning is unhurried. You take a flight to Delhi in the afternoon, after which you drive (203 km; 4.5 hours) to Agra. Register at the hotel. Agra, overnight.
Go on a city tour to see the Taj Mahal, a stunning world wonder that Shah Jahan erected in 1653 as a monument to his queen Mumtaz Mahal (closed on Fridays). Continue your journey at the Agra Fort, which was the first red sandstone fort constructed in 1565 by Moghul Emperor Akbar. It’s free time in the afternoon. Agra, overnight.
You travel this morning (221 km/6 hours) by car from Agra to Jaipur, stopping to see Fatehpur Sikri along the way. Built by Emperor Akbar between 1570 and 1585, this derelict city of red sandstone formerly served as the Mughal Empire’s capital but was subsequently abandoned because of a lack of water. View the Bulund Darwaza and Shaik Salim Chishti’s exquisite white marble tomb, which are both on the property. Drive on to Jaipur and check into your hotel when you get there. Jaipur overnight stay.
Early morning visit the Jaipur city Palace, Jantar Mantar, Hawa Mahal. In afternoon you can proceed to Galta ji Temple, Albert Hall Museum, Jal Mahal. In evening you can go to Patrika gate/ Bapu Bazar for enjoying shopping. Overnight stay in hotel in Jaipur.
Early morning proceed to Birla Temple, sightseeing at Nahargarh Fort, sightseeing at Amber Fort (Ganesh Pol, Sheesh Mahal, Janana Palace, Jagdeesh Shiromani Temple, Panna Mina Stepwell). After continue your sightseeing to Jaigarh Fort, enjoy sunset at Jaigarh Fort, back to Amber Sound and Light Show, proceed to Jal Mahal for enjoying night view. Back to Hotel and overnight stay in hotel.
