About Coorg

Kodagu, also known as Coorg, is a rural district in the southwest Indian state of Karnataka. In the area’s north, Madikeri Fort has 2 life-size elephant statues at its entrance, plus a Gothic-style church with a museum on its grounds. Nearby, the Hindu Omkareshwara Temple dates back to the 19th century. Farther north are the domed Raja’s Tomb, a burial place of Kodava kings, and cascading Abbi Falls.

About Wayanad:

Wayanad is a rural district in Kerala state, southwest India. In the east, the Wayanad Wildlife Sanctuary is a lush, forested region with areas of high altitude, home to animals including Asiatic elephants, tigers, leopards and egrets. In the Ambukuthi Hills to the south, Edakkal Caves contain ancient petroglyphs, some dating back to the Neolithic age.

Day 01Arrival in Bangalore and Transfer to Coorg

Arrive at Bangalore airport and meet your driver
Depart for Coorg (approximately 5-6 hours’ drive).
Enjoy the scenic journey as you drive through the lush landscapes and coffee plantations.
Reach Coorg and check into your hotel.
Spend the evening at leisure, exploring the nearby area or relaxing at the hotel.
Visit the Namdroling Monastery (Golden Temple) in Bylakuppe, which is the largest Tibetan settlement in South India.

Day 02Coorg Sightseeing

After breakfast, embark on a full day of sightseeing in Coorg.
Visit the breathtaking Abbey Falls, where you can witness the cascading waterfall amidst lush greenery.
In the evening, you can take a walk around the Madikeri town and explore the local market.
Raja’s Seat offers breathtaking views of the surrounding hills, valleys, and lush green landscapes. It is particularly known for its panoramic views during sunrise and sunset. The name “Raja’s Seat” translates to “Seat of the Kings,” as it was a favorite spot of the Kodagu kings who used to visit and enjoy the scenic beauty.
Mercara Fort has a rich history dating back to the 17th century. It was initially built by Mudduraja, the Haleri king of Kodagu, and later reconstructed by Tipu Sultan, the ruler of Mysore. The fort served as a strategic stronghold during various historical events.

Day 03Coorg to Wayanad

After breakfast, check out from your hotel in Coorg and proceed to Wayanad
Enjoy the scenic drive as you enter the beautiful hills of Wayanad
Glassbridge, The Glass Bridge is a 100-feet glass bridge situated on the top of a hill at 900 Kandi, Wayanad
Reach Wayanad and check into your hotel.
Spend the evening at leisure, exploring the surroundings or relaxing at the hotel.

Day 04Wayanad Sightseeing

After breakfast, embark on a full day of sightseeing in Wayanad.
Visit the ancient Edakkal Caves, known for their prehistoric rock art and panoramic views of the Western Ghats.
Explore the beautiful Soochipara Waterfalls and enjoy the refreshing natural pool at the base.
Visit the Wayanad Wildlife Sanctuary, home to diverse flora and fauna, and enjoy a wildlife safari (optional).
In the evening, you can visit the Pookode Lake and enjoy boating amidst the serene surroundings.

Day 05Departure from Wayanad to Calicut

After breakfast, check out from your hotel in Wayanad.
If time permits, you can visit the Banasura Sagar Dam, the largest earthen dam in India, and enjoy the scenic beauty.
Depart for Calicut, spend the day in Calicut, boating in the backwaters, visiting the spice market, go to Kappad beach, where Vasco da Gama landed in 1498,after that time permitting go to the central Calicut beach, overlooked by an old lighthouse, a popular spot to watch the sunset, O/nt at the Hotel.

Day 06Departure Calicut:

This morning, after breakfast c/out of the hotel and proceed for your onward journey back home with fond memories.
Reach Calicut and head towards your onward journey.
