Detailed Itinerary

Day 01 :Delhi to Haridwar – Barkot (220 Km / 4 to 5 hrs)

Upon Arrival . Pick up and Depart for Haridwar .Later Chk inn Hotel Visit Local
Temple and Evening Aarti of Maa Ganga at Har ki Paudi . Later Dinner and Overnight
Stay .

Day 02 : Haridwar – Barkot (220 Km / 4 to 5 hrs)

On arrival pickup from Haridwar Railway Station and proceeds to Barkot. Enroute
you can visit the famous Kempty Falls. Kempty falls is the star attraction of
Mussoorie. People from all over the world visit the place to have a look at these
spectacular waterfalls.
On reaching Barkot, check-in to your hotel/camp. Evening for leisure. Overnight at
hotel.

Barkot: offers a Himalayan panorama of natural delights, perhaps unmatched elsewhere. It
is a treasure – trove of lush valleys, soaring peaks, crashing waterfalls, balmy hot
water springs and other bounties of Mother Nature. A full description could easily fill
a book, hence only some broad features can be indicated. Barkot is a beautiful hill
station which is located on the foot of Yamunotri.

Day 03:Barkot - Jankichatti – Yamunotri – Barkot. (42 Km / 2 hrs . 6 Km One way trek)

Morning proceeds for Yamunotri. From Jankihatti start your 6 km trek to Yamunotri. You
can also hire palki or a horse for your trek. (Cost Not Included).
On your trek, you enjoy the sight of lush green valley and a variety of species of
Himalayan shrubs.
Perform all the rituals and return back to Barkot, hotel / Camp. Over night at hotel.

Barkot: Yamunotri is one of the shrines of the Chardham. The temple at Yamunotri is dedicated
to Goddess Yamuna who present in the form of a black marble idol in the temple.
Yamunotri is the source of the river Yamuna which is also the daughter of Surya, the Sun.

Day 04 : Barkot - Uttarkashi (100 km/ 3 -4 hrs)

After having your breakfast, check out from the hotel. Start your drive to your next
destination, Uttarkashi on the way you can visit Prakateshwar Mahadev Temple ( Shiva
Cave ), Kashi Vishnath & Shakti Peeth before Check in Hotel. Overnight in hotel.

Uttarkashi: set on the banks of river Bhagirathi, Uttarkashi is well known for its historical ornaments,
Temples and Ashrams. After taking some rest for the day, you can go stroll around the
place.

Vishwanath temple- Vishwanath temple is one of the oldest Shiva temples in Northern India. Re-constructed in 1857 by Maharani Khaneti Devi of Tehri State in the ancient architectural style. It is
situated at the heart of the town. A massive iron trident, symbolic of divine mother’s, is
erected and worshiped from time immemorial at the temple complex. Ganeshji,
SakshiGopal, Markandeya Rishi’s small shrines are also part of the temple complex.
AkhandJyoti as well as AkhandAbhishek, special aarti at morning and evening are offered.
As per SkundaPuran, Uttarkashi is known as ‘Saumya Varanasi’, the abode of Lord Shiva in
Kaliyug and counted as one of the twelve Jyotirlingas.

Shakti Temple- Right in front of the Vishwanath temple is Shakti temple. It has a big ‘Trishul’ of about 6
meters in height and a circumference of 90 cms. at bottom. Though there are different
views about the making of this, the upper part of it seems to be made up of iron and the
lower one is of copper. As per the epics this Shakti was thrown on the devils by the
Goddess Durga(Shakti), hence it gets its name. Since then this Shakti is erected over
here. Uttarkashi Weather – Generally hot in summer, the temperature ranges from 30-35
degree Celsius but nights is pleasant, Cold in winters.

Day 05 : Uttarkashi – Gangotri – Uttarkashi (100 Km / 3 to 4 hrs)

Early in the morning start driving towards Gangotri. On The way visit Gangnani, Jhala
Valley, Lanka , Bharoo Ghati , Harshil and Surya Kund.

Gangotri is a popular Hindu pilgrimage town which is set on the banks of river Bhagirathi. River
Ganga is believed to have touched earth at this place. The temple is dedicated to
Goddess Ganga. On reaching Gangotri, perform Pooja and other rituals. Later, drive back to Uttarkashi.
Overnight at the hotel.

Day 06 : Uttarkashi – Guptkashi/Sitapur/Rampur (240 Km / 9 to 10 hrs)

Leave for your next destination, Guptkashi after having your breakfast early in the
morning. On the way you can visit Chaurangi Khal. On reaching, check-in to the
hotel/camp. Overnight in the hotel/camp.

Guptkashi is located at a distance of 47 km from the holy shrine, Kedarnath. The town holds
immense religious importance as it houses famous ancient temples like Ardhnareshwar
Temple.

Day 07:Guptkashi – – Sonpryag - Gaurikund – Kedarnath (35 Km + 18 Km approx. one way trek)

Get up early in the morning and check out from the hotel after having your breakfast.
Start your drive to Gaurikund which is set at a distance of around 33 km. On reaching
sonpryag our vehicle will drop you here. From Son Prayag 5 kms before Gaurikund,
drive by jeep to Gaurikund at own your cost vehicle will not go till there due to
guideline of local authorities. After reaching Gaurikund start trek to Kedarnath.

Kedarnath Temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva. To reach the temple, you can hire a palki or a horse
(Cost Not Included). On your way to the temple, you will get to experience the
unexplored sights of the snow capped mountains. On reaching, check-in at the Govt.
Camps/Lodges. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 8:Guptkashi – Sonpryag - Gaurikund-Kedarnath (35 Km + 18 Km approx. one way trek)

This morning you get up before dawn and take a bath. Later, you go to the temple for
the ‘Abhishek’ to Kedarnath. After Darshan and Puja, return to your respective Camps /
Lodges. Start with your trek from Kedarnath to Gaurikund and by jeeps to Sonprayag.
At Sonprayag, your car awaits which will take you back to your hotel at Guptkashi. On
reaching Guptkashi, Overnight at the hotel.

Day 09: Guptkashi – Chopta – Badrinath (190 Km / 7 to 8 hrs)

After having your breakfast in the morning, check out of the hotel and start driving
towards your next destination, Badrinath via Chopta and Joshimath ( Narsingh temple ).
On reaching Badrinath, check-in to the hotel. After taking some rest and refreshments,
leave for you are all set to go to Badrinath Temple for Darshan. After Darshan, return to
the hotel. Enjoy your dinner and Overnight at the hotel.

Badrinath is an important pilgrimage site which holds immense importance for both Hindus and
Buddhists. Badrinath temple is dedicated to Lord Vishnu and is set at a height of 3133
meter.

Tapt Kund Natural thermal springs on the bank of the river Alaknanda, where it is customary to bath
before entering the Badrinath temple.

Mana Village Inhabited by an Indo-Mongolian tribe, it is the last Indian village before Tibet.

Badrinath Weather: The average maximum temperature will be around 18° Celsius and the
average minimum is 8° Celsius. Warm and woolen clothes are hence required for a stay in
Badrinath throughout the year. Winter in Badrinath is often accompanied by snow falls.
Winter is very chilly with an average temperature of 5° Celsius. Due to the extreme
climatic conditions, this time is usually closed for tourists.

Day 10: Badrinath – Joshimath – Rudraprayag (165 Km / 5 to 6 hrs)

This morning, visit Badrinath Temple for Darshan. Later, return to the hotel for breakfast.
After breakfast, you can leave for local sightseeing at Badrinath. Visit major attractions of
Badrinath such as Mana Village, Vyas Gufa, Ganesh Gufa, and Mata Murti temple.
In the afternoon and head towards Rudraprayag via Joshimath. En-route visit
Karanprayag. After arrival in Rudraprayag check into and overnight at the hotel.

Rudra Prayag holds great religious importance. Also, the town features stunning natural beauty and
tranquility. On reaching Rudraprayag, check-in to the hotel. You can relax for the rest of
the day or explore the beauty of Rudraprayag.

Day 11:Rudraprayag – Rishikesh (140 Km / 5 to 6 hrs)

This morning, have your breakfast and then leave for Haridwar Via Rishikesh.

Rishikesh holds great religious importance. Also, the town features stunning natural beauty and
tranquility. On reaching Rudraprayag, check-in to the hotel. You can relax for the rest of
the day or explore the beauty of Rudraprayag.

Day 12:Rishikesh to Delhi Drop

After Breakfast , Proceed to Delhi and Drop . tour Ends with Sweet Memories

Note : Kedarnath Stay Will Be Very Basic on Sharing Basis With
Normal Bed and Quilt – Consider it a Basic Dharamshala Type
